Bailwood is an idyllic scout site situated approximately 14Km east of Kingston upon Hull in East Yorkshire and just a stone’s throw away from the North Sea coast.
The site is a safe enclosed space made up of a 3 acre camping field and approx. 21 acres of woodland making it ideal for both large groups and small looking for woodland adventures. Groups coming to the site especially like the freedom of the woodland and the ability to run activities from backwoods cooking to den building in the ample space offered.
For longer stays the site is close to the beach at Mappleton and the seaside town of Hornsea is just a 20 minute drive away. The historic port city of Kingston upon Hull with all of its maritime heritage and The Deep aquarium attraction is just a 40 minute drive.
Ample car parking is available on site.
Scout cabin comprising 12 bunks plus a 4 berth leader’s room and kitchen and a cub cabin with an open space and kitchen. The cabins have electricity and water with industrial sized cookers and boilers however they are not supplied with cooking equipment.
The site includes a male toilet and wash block including separate leader rooms and a female toilet and wash block.
